As soon as the new year looms we often become obsessed with reinvention. Eating healthier, saving more money, making better choices, hitting the gym... the list goes on. For 2016 Yawn HQ have decided that instead of piling on the pressure to constantly improve ourselves, why don't we just relax a little more?


Wellness Week kicked off at our wonderful stockist Arnotts on Thursday. So to celebrate we've put together some useful tips on how to relax, whilst still looking after your fitness, nutrition, mindfulness and our personal favourite... sleep! 


1. Bedtime Yoga 

Not only is Yoga a great way to stay in shape, it also calms the mind and can seriously soothe you after a long day. A good nights sleep is key to a healthy state of mind. After you've finished your workout curl up in a cosy pair of PJs

2. Get Inspired 


If you've lost your mojo or just need some motivation, inspiring talks can lift your mood and encourage you to achieve your goals. A little encouragement can help you put things into perspective.

3. Tweak your way to the top 

Going full steam ahead at the start of a new year is something we are all guilty of. But what happens when you miss your targets and start slipping back into old ways? 


If you have the intention of changing your eating habits, avoid disappointment by starting with a few small tweaks. Starting small but thinking big will mean you can gradually work towards a healthier you. Tweaks tends to be more manageable than huge changes. If you're planning on improving your eating habits think about creating an alternative meal planner and set realistic goals.

4.  Life is meant for living 

There are so many pressures of everyday life and we can often burden ourselves with the idea that we have to be better, work harder and achieve more. If you want to improve your fitness to boost your self esteem why not search for exercise classes that are meant to be fun? Having fun and releasing positive energy is undoubtedly one of the best ways to relax.
