Yawn's guide to a relaxing Christmas - Part 3

By Imogen Wallis

Make time for friends

Brave the chill and grab a group of friends to enjoy the aroma of mulled wine and spices at one of England’s top Christmas markets, they’re guaranteed to get you into the spirit (and have some alone time away from the family).

London – November 10th – December 30th 2017

Gaze out across the Thames to panoramic views of Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament at the capital city’s Southbank Winter Festival. With 50 chalets filled with treats and artisan gifts, you’ll be able to pick up great stocking fillers or stuff yourself stilly with festive food.

Bath – November 23rd – December 10th 2017

It’s an award-winning market for a reason. With more than 200 traditional chalets and stalls, enjoy festive performances whilst surrounded by the famous (and strikingly beautiful) Bath Abbey and Roman Baths.

Birmingham – November 16th – December 24th 2017

If you’re not planning any European escapes this season, Birmingham has the next best thing – the biggest German Christmas market in the UK. Held under the façade of the Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery, there are enough pretzels, schnitzels and Bavarian beers to keep you full until the New Year.

Enjoy and as always we love to hear from you at hello@loveyawn.com if you have any other recommendations or had a great experience at any of the mentioned locations.
