It takes time to design a Yawn print.

We started sketching ideas for new prints at the beginning of the year.  We pulled together a mood board of happy memories before print designer Madeleine began drawing and painting.

In this case, inspiration came from the previous autumn harvest.  The satisfaction that came from watching an apple tree grow its crop over the months, before picking, cutting and neatly storing it's produce in the freezer.  The apple crumbles that we made for weeks after which somehow tasted better. 

So the apple became the starting point of Pipped. The sketches started out free-flowing and then the pattern became a bolder, graphic take on a polka dot - because who doesn't love a classic polka?

We hope you love wearing this print as much as we loved making it. And that you enjoy many crumbles this autumn.
