Rosalie kindly gave us her thoughts on relaxing ...

I spent a lot of my spare time during childhood building dens with my brothers in Southern Germany’s forests and running through fields, so anywhere green with trees or on a mountain with fresh air to breathe is my stressed city antidote.
We listen to a lot of music; my fiancé who is a jazz pianist has a knack for finding gems. Currently Cara Dillon, Keb Mo and Emily King are on my playlist as is Anouar Brahem. I’ve also spent many an early hour with Tom Waits, a whiskey and good company.

I happily switch between fiction and non-fiction, but especially love a good short story that leaves your imagination running long after. William Trevor, as well as Lydia Davis and Doris Lessing are a few examples. In bed I like to wind down with a couple of pages of either by Dorothy Hartley’s Food in England or Peter Ackroyd’s London: A Biography which I read in circulation; I’m a bit of a history geek.
A clean, cool room, turning off email and Ipad, fresh sheets and a nice heavy blanket on top of the duvet to feel properly cocooned.
‘Port In A Storm’ pyjamas as they are so comfortable and wearable plus the print is brilliant. If I have a stay-in admin day it’s hard to take them off, as they easily take me from admin to sofa and back again. Just have to be careful not to end up accidentally wearing them out (really just showing them off though).
